2019 AEC NATIONAL ELK EXPO

Event information and times are as follows.
Forshee Hall – Friday, July 19th
- Hard Horn Registration Starting 9:00am till 3:00pm at Hall. Anybody bringing in more than 3 sets of antlers must be there by 1:00pm in order to have all judging completed in time.
- 9:00am – 6:00pm - Hard Antler Judging, all judging will be completed Friday evening & antlers will be hung on the horn racks in order of the winning categories.
- Evening supper to follow at 7:00 pm. This year we have decided to have a potluck supper. There is a fridge in the kitchen of the hall to keep food until mealtime & AEC will supply a list of food that will be needed so that people can let the office know what they will be bringing.
- We are looking for Producers that might supply either hamburger or hot dogs for either Saturday’s supper or the lunches. If anyone is interested, please let Bev Maine know, or Dawn Lucas know at the office.
- Please bring your own lawn chairs and wiener sticks for the fire pit. It is a BYOB event
- There is a ball diamond at the hall, so bring any equipment that you may have so that we can have a family ball game. Possibly horseshoes or other outside entertainment may be available, so if you have any outdoor games or ideas, bring them with you. Let’s make this event all about having some family fun.
Forshee Hall – Saturday, July 20th
- Velvet Antler Registration 8:00am – 10:30am
- 10:00am – 5:00pm - Velvet Antler Judging, Kid’s Competition for Buttons & Spiker Antler, followed by giving out Ribbons & Trophies to the winners & taking pictures.
- This to be followed by an evening of visiting and net working with other producers for those that wish to remain.
- Those remaining could have a BBQ, so please bring whatever meat you want to eat.

* From the north, 10 kms south of Rimbey on Hwy #20, (follow the signs), turn left, go one km east over the R/R tracks.
* From the south, the hall is 12 kms north of Bentley on Hwy #20, turn right after the Forshee Community Hall sign, east one km over the R/R tracks.
