NAEBA Announces Creation of Northern Region Hard Antler Score Center

Northern Region Hard Antler Score Center

Thursday, July 20, 2017

Red Deer, AB

Held in Conjunction with the Alberta Elk Commission Expo

For three years, members in the Northern Region have asked NAEBA to consider holding a satellite scoring center for hard antler the week prior to the International Competition.  NAEBA understands it is difficult and costly to transport antler across the international border.  In an effort to expand membership service opportunities and make the Intentional Antler Competition even bigger, NAEBA has approved the creation of Northern Region Hard Antler Score Center, effective 2017.

A set of rules have been approved to ensure the same integrity is held at the Northern Region Hard Antler Score Center as the International Antler Competition. NAEBA will be sending an official hard antler judge and association representatives to handle entries.  The judge and scribe will be in a closed room and will not see the participants. The NAEBA representatives will check in antler and ensure compliance with all International Antler Competition rules (picture of bull, registration certificates, fees, etc.)   All antler entries will need to have a picture taken with the owner and the NAEBA banner backdrop in case they place first, second or third for the antler result pictures that are published in the fall.  All scores will be forwarded to the International Antler Competition where the results will be included in the final results published on Saturday, July 29.  No velvet entries will be accepted and this is only open to active members in the Northern Region.  All antler entry fees apply, no exceptions.
